There are no definitive answers yet. This question is being asked on all our Spanish forums and the only positive way we can all look at it, is that there are thousands of British and other nationalities (including other non-EU nationalities ) who live (and work) in Spain and own property and if Brexit makes it difficult for us to live there, then many resorts in Spain would find it hard to continue as they are now, economically.
Think about the Costas, they need the British (with other nationalities) to help their economy thrive, not just in Summer , so that means Residents to keep the numbers up in the quieter times of the year.
Any decision that Spain makes on the back of Brexit I believe will be in their best interest and I can't see them changing the status Quo for the British (and other Non EU countries like Russia and Norway) Recently more Russians and Norwegians appear to be buying property in Spain and they are not in the EU.
None of us know what will happen but we can only hope for Spain to make the sensible solution for themselves and for us Brits.
