Hi we are buying a place in caleta de fuste but we need the auctioneer to apply for nie numbers as we based in Ireland she said we need to go to a notary can any one let us know what forms we need to sign to do this do we need to fill in application for nie and sent this 😀 any advice would be very welcome

Not sure what you mean by the 'auctioneer'.
I presume you mean that you have an Irish passport. If so then to apply for your NIE you need to go to go to the police station in Puerto, NOT the notary. You can obtain the form from the copier shop just up the road from the police station. Ask for the NIE form (sorry can't remember the number). You will also need to pay for it before hand at the bank who will stamp your form. Banks stop taking payments at 11am.
You will need proof to say why you need an NIE. This can be a letter from the agent you are buying the house through, or your gestor, or abogado, who is dealing with the purchase.
Your gestor can also get your NIE for you. If you are not in the country you will need to give them power of attorney. Speak with your gestor/abogado on how to do this.

There are a number of notaries in Caleta or Rosario who can act on your behalf. A search on Google will reveal them then you can take your pick.

You do not go to a notary to obtain an NIE.
