El Cotillo isn't exactly brimming with hotels and, frankly, you would have to be extremely lucky to obtain a job, that's assuming you have an Irish passport and providing you have your Spanish paperwork - minimum of NIE in order to work.

You might have a bit more luck in Corralejo, but frankly jobs are scarce and wages are low.

Best thing to do is, once you are over here, simply go round the hotels with your CV.

Yes,  you'll need an NIE number for everything in Spain,  work, mobile phone contact,  buying cars, rental contracts and so much more, speak to Emma Fuerteventura translation services, English lady fluent in Spanish and will be able to help you.

Yes, you will need NIE.  Also, if you spend 183 or more days in an annual year in Spain you will be liable to pay income tax here.

NIE is very simple to get, you just need proof of a valid reason. Work is a valid reason :)    You get NIE from the police station in Puerto. Just up the road from the station is a photocopier shop.  You can get the form from there.  You will need to take it to a bank first to pay.  Banks stop at 11am on the dot so make sure you get to one before then!

Apologies but I don't know El Cotillo that well.  I can't think of one there, but I may be wrong.

No tourist office in cotillo, Alan, and only one large hotel at the moment.

Your best option is to get over here and have a good look around.

We live here if we can help in any way you can contact me privately.
