We have been to caleta de fuste several times and always got a taxi from the airport but have never been charged 25 euro ,the taxi driver said it was because it was Sunday (17-3-24) we travelled back to the airport(24-3-24) and it was only 17 euro with tip , is this scam starting to show its self here now.

I find that taxis from the airport can be more expensive than going back. I think it’s something to do with some sort of standing charge maybe? Could be that the taxis from the airport are Puerto owned but the one back is Antigua owned?
I’ve had to get a taxi from the airport, after waiting an hour for a public bus, and I was charged 9.25€ just to go to playa blanca which is the next junction along… yet I can get to Costa de Antigua for not much more
