Hi Tony, to give you a update, we was turned down by the insurersI first gave you due to my husband having a dvt back in 2010. So we are now with Asssa €200 for both a month for both of us

Thanks for the update I appreciate it.Cannot believe how expensive some of these companies are! The one you suggested Santas was about 225 euros as an estimate for us both but will have a look at Asssa too.

Hi all have you read HMRC moving to Spain every one covered for healthcare until 2021 so why are you paying for private healthcare it’s the same for anybody that lives in the UK they are covered or have I missed something

I believe because we are retiring early on a private pension and not yet eligible for the UK state pension it’s slightly different for us.We will not be working so in order to apply for residencia we need to have private health care in place.Well that’s as we understand it but thanks for the suggestion 👍🏽

Oh right that sounds very interesting I will give it a read.We have our NIE numbers and a bank account it’s just the residencia we will be applying for in June.Even if we have to pay for the first year to gain the residency we may be able to use the free health care in subsequent years after that which would be a great help.However I will definitely look into it so thanks very much for the info 👍🏽
