My friend and I are staying at Pierre Vacances,Majanicho, 100, 35650 Lajares, Las Palmas, Spain for a week leaving the U.K on 20th March and I would like to know if we are able to get public transport from Fuerteventura airport, if not is there a shuttle bus that runs to & from the airport to where we are staying or even to the nearest town ?

We would like to travel as cheaply as possible to and from the airport.

Thank you

Dawn

Pierre Vacances at Origo Mare are a long way out and far from everything with only a couple of buses a day. It's 8 km away from anything at all.   And although OM is on the coast, the nearest safe bathing beaches are 19 km and 20 km away at El Cotillo and Corralejo respectively.  Hiring a car is highly recommended.

Apart from a taxi, or torturous bus journey with 3 different buses (which the last one might not be possible depending on timing), the only other way is https://www.canaryshuttle.com/en.  But, be aware, if you book a party transfer with them you may well have to wait for other people and then have drop offs at different hotels on the way.

A taxi to OM is posted as €69 (€79 Sundays and bank holidays) but may vary by a couple of euros as they are metered.

Thank you so much for your reply I have also contacted a company called 'Shuttle Spain Airport Transfers' & have managed to get a quote off them also.

Thanks once again for the response & input.

It might be worth considering hiring a car - will also let you get out and about once you are there. I’d reckon on 15€ or so a day for a small car - although must admit I normally book in advance so maybe more expensive given the short notice.
