We love this place. We live in La Caldereta (we were told off by the Ayuntamiento for calling it just Caldereta as it’s official name is La Caldereta even though a previous Mayor changed the name on road signs) and visit Marcos and Elena’s place at least three times a week for either a coffee, a snack or a meal.

Marcos and Elena are amazing hosts, they also own a Poultry Farm in the hamlet and sell visitors Eggs if they wish. The Fried Cabrito they serve is the best I have had across the whole Island, as is the Chickpea Stew, and I know of other Island residents who travel here just for a meal.

Visitors on cycling trips or off road buggy tours stop off regularly for lunch. It is certainly worth a visit if you are passing through.
