I am due to fly to Fuerte from Newcastle on Sat 12/12/2020 and can only get a PCR test on the afternoon of 9/12 in the UK. The result takes 48hrs to come through which means the 72hr rule will expire at 2pm on 12/12 but my flight only lands in Fuerte at 2.30pm on 12/12..... Will it still be accepted when I arrive at Fuerte airport ?? I am not sure if I am understanding the 72hr rule correctly ?

It has to be valid when you land and you have to take into account potential delays. However if you have the test at 2pm on Thursday - 72 hours from then takes you to Sunday - so you are OK. I am also flying out on the 12th and taking a test on Thursday 10th.

Hi, As of 10th Dec Canaries are accepting an antigen test which gets results in 15 mins. Typical costs are about £85 for this in Hampshire. Hope that helps as you don’t have the worry of the results not arriving in time as is the case with the PCR test
