Anyone suffered robbery ,theft etc in the Cotillo area, cos we have suffered many, but had little from any local person.

We have suffered house robbery a few times in a finca outside Cotillo, my experience its a horrible feeling when someone does these dastardly acts, in most cases its someone we took into our confidence, but there again there are alot of car thefts on the beach, nothing changes in all my years around Cotillo, most thieves are drug addicts ,something they can sell with value to make cash for drugs, one of my cases, when my house was robbed in 1998,only four things were taken, all of my ex partner, a antique camera with two pieces and a normal camera, this was classed as a "Target robbery", money was lying around, etc, etc, I started to ask in Cotillo with drug addicts, for the stolen items on the street, n 0ne would ask around, within hours, there was a answer, to bring money to a meeting place in a bar late at night, my girlfriend 25,000 pesetas for the return of her stolen items, but the normal camera not, 100% the person whom she paid was the theft.

Robbers think they are clever , but there are clues sometimes, I have never had a random robbery yet where they trash the place, they sneak in, targetting something, asking around the streets of Cotillo is a good solution, but I am intergrated, I know some of them for giving handouts of my hard earnt money, I had a serious, one in 2020, when I was at church for 90 minutes, even then most the stolen items were my partners, I had a laptop robbed, we reported it to Police Guardia Civil, even with hard evidence, nothing was solved , but our suspicions it was planned by some one we now, even I asked around for some clues.

The beaches are full of thefts, I have seen cars with all their wheels missing on isolated beaches, I had a woman lodging at my place, she had her hire car stolen in Cotillo, the only thing to do is be wary and observant.
