Hi..thanks for inviting me to your forum, my wife Gerry and I like to come here for the winter months in our camper..such a lovely place, but the ferry is so expensive 935 eur each way without a cabin. A Spanish friend says that they get a cheaper fair through a canary island caravan club..they are from Galicia so not canary residents. Does anyone have any helpfull info on how to reduce the ferry cost. kind rgds.

Your friends are, I assume, Spanish, that means they qualify for large discounts on travel between mainland Spain and any of the islands.
To qualify, you need an empadron from the local council and a travel document in addition to your ID documents.

Did you ever make it to Fuerteventura with your van? We are wanting to bring a van with us when we move so any info appreciated.
