Hi.
Whether or not you are allowed to work depends on what nationality you are. If you are British, or other third country, then you will not be allowed to work at all. However, if you are of a country that is an EU member you will be allowed to work.
If you do hold an EU passport then in order to work you must first have an NIE (tax identification number). Be aware that, like everywhere else, unemployment is high here and wages are low. Having said that, you do sometimes see bars, cafes and restaurants asking for staff, usually by putting a notice in their window.
For accommodation, you should look on sites such as booking.com
As for moving to reside here, again depends on your nationality. If British or other third country, then, from what you have said, I doubt very much you would be able to afford to. You would need a visa and a LOT of money, how much depends which visa you would be able to apply for. Again, work visas are almost impossible to get unless you are highly qualified/skilled in a profession that is required here.
If an EU national then it is easier but you will still need to prove financial means to support yourself, and if you do not have employment also health insurance. The financial amount currently stands at €7200
