A young family wishing to move and work here

Hi All,

Myself and my partner are looking to move to feurtaventura we have a 1 year old and a 2 year old and would be seeking employment.

How hard is this? We between us we have varied backgrounds including running bars and restaurants, management, 20years in the financial industry, hgv license and currently going through a personal trainer course.

What are the schools like?

Happy to have any help or advice, we will have capitol to buy on the island, just trying to work through the logistics of work to stay long term… many thanks

It all depends on your nationality. If you your passport is that of an EU country moving is relatively easy. Wages though are very low and, as with other countries, unemployment is high, so it would be a case of can you afford it?

However, if your passport is of a third country (ie British) then unless you have a large amount of finances it would be nigh impossible. You would need a visa and a working visa are VERY difficult to obtain. Your best bet would be to purchase a property, or properties, to the sum of €500k. That would qualify one of you to obtain a visa in order to gain residencia, and the family should be able tag on to that.
