The best thing is to get here and go around with your cv to the bars and cafes as they often put ads in their windows.
But the biggest question is, are you allowed to work here? This depends on your nationality. If you are British, or other 3rd country national, then you will not legally be allowed to work here.
In order for a British person to be allowed to work here you must obtain a working visa. Unfortunately, for the working visa the employer must start the paperwork off by proposing you. However, before they can start that they must prove that there is no local, or EU national, that can do the job. In your line of work there will nearly always be local people to fulfil the position. Even if the employer could prove no local people, the paperwork is just not worth their effort and time.
However, if you are a national of an EU country, then just come over and obtain your NIE, try to find a job offer and get your residencia. Be warned, wages are very low and there is a lot of unemployment here
