Hi just started process of buying property in Caleta. Looking into wi-fi and it seems really expensive eg 30 euros a week? Is this just tourist prices and if so what do locals use? Do we need to look at different broadband provision..

Also does trick of switching Samsung smart tv to UK via vpn provider still work in Fuerteventura? Oh - and can you get Sky?!!!

Apologies for multiple questions after an hour or two googling I’m not much further forward!!!

Many thanks

Hi, we use fuertewifi and for 10mb speed it is €50 a month. We have a smart tv so get Netflix etc straight away. For about 1000 channels, or seems like that, also films sports box sets etc we got a streaming box from Dan who works at the Lord Nelson pub and is super helpful to bad tech people like us. The box cost about €80 and the subscription was €90 for six months. Sky is not possible but you get the Sky channels on the streaming box. Hope this is of some help.

Hi there

Thanks so much for that, really helpful. The streaming box sounds great. I’m hoping Dan doesn’t move jobs before we’re next over! Is 10mb enough for gaming dyou know?  Many thanks

Not a clue about gaming but you can buy the boxes, mag boxes they call them on amazon or eBay.

Hi,we pay 50 euro per month for 20mb from net services, 10mb is fine for gaming as we had that before we got upgraded to 20, we use the smart stb app on our Samsung TV and have a subscription for iptv which gives us all English channels including sky.

Hi

10 euro's a month, have to say we've tried a few but the one we have now is really good,  look for planet cast on Facebook, join the group and speak to blob duke or Mark Downey

Planetcast.co.uk

You can get a trial and see for yourself what it's like, we used to have a mag box but we found the app on the smart tv just as good and cheaper than mag box.

Hope this helps
