Building work in El Cotillo

I’ve booked an apartment next to Coral Cotillo Hotel and understand that the noisy work has been completed (jackhammer)

Yep we have seen those thanks ,I just wondered if anyone was there now for latest info 

There is very little being done in front of the hotel right now and the work they are doing is not generating great noise, unlike a couple of months ago when they were excavating deep!

Directly in front of the hotel there is no work in progress. To the right (as you look towards the beach) there is one plot building retaining walls and beyond that a site where external work is almost complete. 

I definitely would not consider canceling, but perhaps 6 months ago I would have checked out of the hotel on day 2!!

Just had email from travel company. Building work facing el cottilo beach hotel 8am till 6pm. Now unsure should we move else where on island??

I think it highly unlikely that the building works will cause you any significant problem.  I think the main reason why the hotel are emailing guests is that, those who have been before and enjoyed the views from the rooms on the front of the hotel, now get a building site in the foreground (but still the sea in the distance).   I doubt the noise will casue you any issues as most days there are only a small number of workers on the site.  All the heavy excavation has now been completed.

Many thanks. For reply. It's myself and my daughters first holiday in over 20 years. My hubby died 3years ago. I want to see different places, and this sounded just right for us. Really appreciate your reply  

In view of what you said, Cotillo might not be your best bet!   Tell me the ages of your girls please.  Would you be hiring a car while you are here?
