Hello

Has any persons had any dealings with airport officials regarding the 90 day stay in the rolling 180 days, is it being enforced? or they turning a blind eye? does anyone know of persons that are affected ? any comments would be welcome, best wishes everyone and keep safe.

You have a 3 day grace period for emergency.

Remember the 90 days in 180 is your total for all Europe no extra days in another country..

Chances are you would be caught and suffer consequences if you pushed your  luck

Welcome to bright new world of Brexit and non freedom of movement !

I agree. Passports are stamped now uk is not in the EU. Remember its a rolling 90 \ 180 thing so in the extreme example if you stay in europe for 90 consecutive days you will have to wait 90 days out of europe before being able to enter. So if you were here 90 days in the winter you would have to wait that period before you couldsay pop to france from the uk for a weekend.

Next year the Etias electronic scheme will be rolled out and then there wont be any way of being un noticed as on enter and exit all your details will be automatically entered into the European system. If you go over the days limit the immigration authorties will be flagged when going through border controls.

The penalties for out staying are uually being banned from entering Europe for a period and then going through the hassle of applying to be able to enter again.
