Hi we are moving to Caleta in 12 months.

We plan on renting for the first 12 months just in case we don't settle.(can't see it though)

I am a general builder back home but plan on slowing down a bit so will be more of a handyman property manager in caleta.

Does anyone have a property available from January 2021? 2-3 bed and we have a very small well behaved chihuahua.

Hi, have money behind you to see you through starting a business up is hard going  and there are already an abundance of builders here ,  renting over here is hard to come by and depending where you want to live rent can be from 500 to 900 + a month, regarding work being self employed is not cheap unlike the UK Spain's version of national insurance is a set amount,  my husband pays  315euro a month being self employed then tax and acceoria (accountant) on top of that I guess that's why a lot work illegally, paying into the system gives us full healthcare and my husband will get some sort of Spanish pension as well. Hope this helps, it's not easy making the move you have to remember you are here to live and not on a permanent holiday.

All the best

Sharon

Remember you also pay 20% of your earns in NIS and 20% Tax you also have a tax allowance in both countries so it basically works out the same look at hmrc living in Spain
